Scar Therapy Massage
Scar Therapy Massage — loosen and release tight scar tissue & fascia.
Scar therapy massage is a non-invasive physical therapy developed to treat scar tissue, fibrosis and adhesions by:
Stimulating physical change to scar tissue on the skin's surface, & to adhesions or fibrosis in the underlying tissue.
Reducing common symptoms such as pain, sensitivity, & numbness.
Promoting functional & cosmetic improvement by easing fascial restriction (tightness & pulling) and by smoothing puckering & indentation.
Treatment can take place following any type of open or keyhole surgery or for a client with scars from trauma injury including, for example, breast surgery, C-Section, oncology, orthopaedic surgery, burn, hand trauma, cosmetic surgery.
I use specialist scar massage, myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage techniques, therapy tools & self-care advice to promote physical & emotional recovery. Early treatment is recommended e.g., 6-12 months after surgery), but it's never too late & older scars can benefit too.
My treatment approach is a holistic one that aims to ease bodies and minds coping with the physical and psychological effects of scar tissue and its background causes. I will select the best options to deliver a personalised treatment for you and your scar, as well as targeting the systems of the body that are most likely to be challenged and in need of support.
I use the RESTORE Scar Therapy method that has been developed by the UK’s leading scar therapy teacher and Harley Street scar therapy specialist Emma Holly. This method is used within the NHS & by leading private healthcare providers.

Personal Testimony
Having received scar therapy massage on my own breast surgery and hysterectomy scars — from RESTORE practitioners trained by Emma Holly — I can advocate for the amazing results this type of massage can bring, even following a single session. It really is transformative. My scar has reduced (shortened, narrowed, flattened and smoothed), the tightness in my arm, chest and abdomen has eased, and I have gained more movement and flexibility. I am now more confident with my scars and feel at ease about how they look to myself and others. All these effects are deepening on a daily basis as I continue to work on myself, and through top-up sessions with a scar therapist.
